Superfood - red beets

 

Red beets are easily digestible, low-calorie and do not cause 
allergies. They contain vitamins: C, A, E, K and minerals: calcium,
iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc and 
folic acid.

Pickled beets (kiszone) strengthen the blood and improve the composition of the intestinal flora, thanks to which the functioning of the digestive system and metabolism will be improved. They have bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effects. They have a positive effect on our nervous system and stimulate the development of gray cells. 

The easiest way to prepare pickled (kiszone) beets is with salt, garlic and water. 

-red beets 

 -2 tablespoons of salt per 1 liter of water 

 -3-4 cloves of garlic per one liter jar

 

Just peel the beets and cut them into strips or smaller pieces. Place in a sterilized jar, along with the peeled garlic cloves. I usually put 3-4 cloves into a one-liter jar. The more garlic, the harder the beets will be after pickling. Then add salt to the boiled and slightly warm water and stir until completely dissolved. I usually add 2 tablespoons of salt to 1 liter of water. Pour the beetroots in the jar so that they are all under water, leaving only a little air under the lid. Close the lid tightly. If there is too much water, the excess may escape from under the lid during pickling. I recommend keeping an eye on it and placing the jar on an easy-to-clean surface. 5-7 days of pickling (kiszenie) is enough. Beetroots taste slightly sour and do not need to be seasoned with anything. Pickled water is a great leaven for red borscht. Enjoy your meal

Salt lamp

 

If you've been wondering what a salt lamp does in a living room,
here's a simple answer. Thanks to its hygroscopic properties,
the salt lamp purifies the air. Under the influence of heat,
lumps of rock salt emit negative ions from their surface,
which bind positive particles from the air. This contributes
to maintaining the balance of molecules. Salt also contains
minerals lithium, halite and selenite, which are released when
exposed to heat. This has a beneficial effect on the 
respiratory system. The emission of negative ions by the salt
lamp improves mood and concentration, makes it easier to fall
asleep and reduces the negative impact of electromagnetic 
radiation from electrical appliances, computers or televisions
on our health. That is why you feel relaxed in the salon and
you breathe much better. Many people with problems and sinuses
ask for tissues because the salt lamp very quickly cleans and
clears the respiratory tract.



Salt lamps emit tiny particles with an electrical charge 
- negative ions. Large amounts of positive ions cause 
electromagnetic (EM) radiation, which adversely affects health. 
Fatigue, weakening of the immune system and stress are symptoms
of long-term exposure to electromagnetic radiation on the body.
Thanks to the emission of negative ions, the salt lamp 
partially neutralizes the effect of this radiation.

The hygroscopic properties of rock salt purify the air, which
is especially helpful for allergy sufferers. Salt crystals 
attract water molecules from the environment, which is called
the hygroscopic effect. Water molecules contain: dust, mold, 
microbes or animal hair particles that can cause allergies. 
Water molecules absorbed by the lamp are filtered by a crystal, 
and then the already purified water evaporates thanks to the 
heat generated by the bulb in the lamp.

allergies, because, firstly, they contain valuable minerals, 
and secondly, the chemical composition of rock salt naturally 
cleans the air of dust, fungus particles and mold. Salt lamps 
are natural air ionizers. The production of negative ions 
increases the amount of oxygen in the air. Thanks to this, 
it is easier for us to fall asleep in the evening, and our 
concentration is at a high level during the day - which

If you want to try the beneficial effects of salt, I recommend 
creating your own unique lamp. 2 glass vessels of different 
sizes (e.g. jars or glasses), a candle and Himalayan salt in 
lumps are enough. Put the smaller ones into the larger dish and 
fill the spaces between their walls with salt. Place a candle 
or tealight inside the smaller dish. The fire of the lighted 
candle will heat the salt between the walls of your lamp and 
the magic will begin to work.

The action of negative ions is conducive to the fight against 
insomnia, so it is worth setting up a salt lamp in the bedroom. 
Due to its relaxing effect, it is also ideal for the living 
room, where we relax. As a neutralizer of electromagnetic 
radiation, it will be irreplaceable in the study and office.
